About Me.

Born In Walnut Creek California, Tyler is the son of Bill Johnson the 1984 Gold Medalist downhill skier. From early ages it was clear that Tyler took after his father by picking up any sort of athletic skill there was; weather it be football, tenis, golf, wrestling, etc.

After graduating from Sonoma Valley High School he pursued an education in biology from Feather River College where he received an A.S. of Biology. After taking a year 'off' in San Luis Obispo where he also received an A.A. Degree in Kinesiology along with a Certification as an EMT Tyler transferred to  California State University at Chico State. In Chico Tyler took to his education by being one of the top students of the program and was involved in multiple extracurricular activities that included leading a  cardiovascular outreach program for middle schools where he taught students all about the heart and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. He graduated from CSU Chico in 2017 with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology.

When Tyler's education had concluded life took off! He moved back home to Sonoma California where he began his fitness career at Sonoma Fit, a small local gym located in Sonoma California. During his 2 years there as a personal trainer he also coached small fitness classes, cycle classes, rowing classes, while on the side he obtained a position with his old high school as a volunteer head Varsity / JV Football Strength and Conditioning coach. In the off season he also volunteered as a head coach for 7th grade boys basketball  at Adele Harrison Middle School and assisted with their wrestling program, as well as the high schools.

Looking for more opportunity in the fitness field Tyler went to Roseville California to train at Lifetime Athletic, a high end fitness and wellness center where he pursed a position as a VO2 / oxygen consumption specialist. A focused training program for working with individuals on using VO2 oxygen consumption mask to calculated peak/optimal training performance training programs. When the corporate life found to be too much for him he left to San Diego California where he worked at as a barback but still taught cycling classes for a small studio in the central Valley.

After the pandemic left Tyler in a bit of a crisis like the rest of the world he was forced out of the fitness industry where he went to work with his brother in AV/Low volt electrical for the past three years. Now having found stability in his life and missing the industry he has chosen to return with a passion to the field of training using all his years of experience.
